Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West is letting his voice be heard days after speaking out at a London concert by going on yet another rant about life while in Paris, France.
While Ye dedicated ample time to letting emotions get the best of him, he also promised new music is on deck.
“There’s no motherf***ing awards or sponsorships or none of that s**t that can stop the dedication to bringing y’all that real s**t,” Kanye said. “No matter how they try to control you, or the motherf***er next to you tries to peer pressure you, or try to get the best of you, or see what you did and take the rest of you, you can do what you motherf***ing want”. Once he’d got his rant off his chest, the 35-year-old got onto important business revealing that he is currently working on his sixth LP. “I wanted to let you know, I’m working on my new s**t”, Kanye said. Prior to the Paris show, Mr. West lashed out at over the Grammy Awards and name-dropped select stars like Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.
“Taylor Swift beat Beyonce at the Grammys? Beyonce be dancing in heels and s**t,” Kanye said before launching a scathing attack on the Grammys: “We need the musicbusiness to be evened out and fair. I’ve never won a Grammy against a white artist. I’m motherf***ing Kanye West, we can create a human utopia if we try”. (YouTube)
He also referenced Bey’s husband Jay-Z while out in the United Kingdom in a corporate-targeted rant.
“Creativity fuels everything. I hate business people. People get on the phone with me and talk to me, you know, like, ‘What kind of business can it do, though? What type of business are you doing? What’s the numbers? How many did you sell? What’s the radio spins? How much shampoo do you sell with your face on it and sh*t?’ Remind, remind me again why we in this sh*t. Recently, hitmaker The-Dream said he and Ye were going to work on his new LP while out in Paris.
“I’ve been told to zip it,” he said. However, he did reveal Kanye West is working on his next album — and he’ll be joining the hip-hop star in Paris to work on it in the coming weeks. And as for his much-talked-about hats? “[Jay-Z] was just digging on me, we do that,” he said, defending his on-stage headwear choice. “B had just said, she wanted both of these hats.” (Billboard)
