Despite doors opening before midnight, Kanye did not make his way to the stage until around 1 am.
Announced shortly after 7pm, the venue’s doors were supposed to open at 11pm, though in reality most were permitted after midnight. Tickets had been sold at £49.50 each and were limited to two per customer. West finally emerged on stage at around 1am, by which time the crowd was becoming restless. (NME)
During his set, Kanye performed a new song called “U Mad.”
“U Mad” is a horn-heavy trap banger that sounds like a King Louie production much in line with Chief Keef’s “Don’t Like.” It’s got hints of Drake’s “Trophies” and a smack upside the head by way of A$AP Rocky’s “PMW.” Watch it above (beware of the awful sound quality), check out the set list below, and look for this Kanye album to impact any day now.
