As the world still gets used to Kanye West and Kim Kardashian finally becoming parents, new information on the motivation behind them naming their first born North West has surfaced.
Despite the perception, KimYe did not go with the unique name based off its directional meaning.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were not inspired by a compass when they named their kid North … fact is, the name’s more inspirational than directional. Sources close to K & K tell TMZ … they chose the name North because they see it as a metaphor for “up”, telling friends, “What’s North of North? Nothing.” Translation … nothing better. We’re told the duo believes baby North is their highest point together as a couple … the pinnacle of the relationship … and they consider her their “North Star.” Kinda sweet. Almost makes ya feel bad for mocking it, right? Almost. (TMZ)
Over the weekend, G.O.O.D Music’s Big Sean said he believes Ye and Kim’s daughter will undoubtedly be beautiful.
He hasn’t yet seen Kim and Kanye’s newborn daughter North West, and was just as surprised by her name. “That’s the name for real, huh?” asked Sean. “I know she’s a beautiful little girl, I’m sure. Those guys are two good looking people, right? So they not gonna make no ugly babies.” (Rap-Up)
New York rapper N.O.R.E. recently said the newborn will undoubtedly get connected to him through her nickname.
“I’m just stoked,” he told us on Friday (June 21) over the phone after he completed his morning jog. “There’s a lot of children named after Nas, there’s people named after Pun, there’s people named after Biggie, Jay-Z, so on and so forth, and I’m just honored that her nickname remotely sounds like my name.” (MTV)
The latest updates suggest Kanye is already clocking in time with diaper-changing duties.
E! News has exclusively learned that as the couple enjoys the presence of daughter North West, they’re also enjoying tackling the usual parental responsibilities. “They are splitting duties,” a family source tells us. “Kanye is so hands on. He’s changing diapers.” And Kim is really taking to her new role as a mom. “Kim always feared having a baby. She thought it would be so hard, but it’s all coming so naturally to her,” the source shared. (E! Online)
