Pop singer Justin Bieber may have caught a bad rap over the past few months, however, that didn't stop Cash Money Records boss Birdman from reaching out to the Biebs for a special request.
According to reports, Baby leaned on J. Bieber to help celebrate his daughter’s Sweet 16 birthday.
Justin Bieber now does BIRTHDAYS — at least for the filthy rich daughters of millionaire rap executives — and we got video proof … the Biebs singing for Birdman’s little girl at her over-the-top sweet sixteen this weekend. Bria Williams celebrated the big 1-6 at The Bath Club in Miami Beach Saturday night — a Paris-themed bash replete with a Bugatti’d out arrival, a “glitter” carpet entrance, a giant cake … and her big present, a matte black Mercedes G-Class. But the real highlight — Bieber sent her a “happy birthday” video … which was played in the middle of the party. (TMZ)
Not alone in the celebration, various Young Money and Cash Money members were also involved in the video shout-out.
UPDATE: 12:48 PM PT — We just got the FULL birthday wish video … Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Mack Maine, Bow Wow, and DJ Khaled are in it too. Pretty cool. (TMZ)
With Baby and Lil Wayne having blown up as hip-hop stars, Bria Williams and Reginae Carter spoke on having their fathers’ support in mapping out their careers last summer.
How have your dads supported you? Carter: I’m totally supported 100% with everything I do. School or writing this book or my music or clothing line. They’re very supportive and they just support us 100%. Williams: My parents tell us to go for whatever we want to go for and they say don’t give up and they’re very supportive. (Miami New Times)
They also briefly touched on the struggles of being the offspring to some of hip-hop’s biggest stars.
What do you think is the hardest part of being in the spotlight? Carter: The hardest part would have to be the rumors. Just when we were young we didn’t really know why they would say such mean things about us. Now we’re older and we can really ignore it. Now we really don’t care but that’s the hardest. Williams: I think the hardest part about it is seeing who your real friends are because some friends aren’t honest and they’re about getting tickets to concerts. Also the rumors and gossip, too.
