Pop sensation Justin Bieber is leaving his spot in the music biz after announcing a speculated retirement in light of releasing new music and film.
The Biebs broke the eyebrow-raising news to his 47.9 million Twitter followers.
“My beloved beliebers I’m officially retiring,” he tweeted late Christmas Eve.
“The media talks a lot about me.They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I’m never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle.”
“Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IM HERE FOREVER”
“It’s here. #TheTruth #BelieveMovie http://youtu.be/Dh1JFPd2mts” (Justin Bieber’s Twitter)
Some media outlets have speculated if Bieber is really leaving the music game.
This isn’t the first time that the 19-year-old singer has suggested he’s reaching the twilight years of his career. Last week, he said the same thing in an interview with Los Angeles radio station Power 106 before quickly backtracking. But still! The chance of retirement! What pandemonium! What cruelty to the fans! But really? His new movie, Believe, comes out tomorrow, and he just released a new album, Journals, this week. So, by most measures, Bieber is still very much around for the time being. (Complex)
The news comes in light of new collaborations and his Journals album dropping this week.
Following their hit “As Long As You Love Me,” Justin Bieber reteams with Big Sean on the Diplo and Maejor Ali-produced “Memphis,” another one of the many collaborations on his Journals album. The pop singer offers his girl the world in order to make her stay, but it’s not enough. “I love you, I need you/ Need you here to stay,” he sings. Journals also features collaborations with Lil Wayne, Future, Drake, Chance the Rapper, and R. Kelly. (Rap-Up)
