According to reports, the unnamed person appeared in court this week and discussed the trauma he has endured since calling police to stop Santana from allegedly hurting a woman.

A good Samaritan who tried to stop rapper Juelz Santana as he was beating his girlfriend told a judge today that he had to move from their Englewood neighborhood out of fear. Santana “threatened me with death. He said he was going to kill me,” the neighbor told Superior Court Judge James Guida, who sentenced the co-founder of The Dipsets and The Skull Gang to two years’ probation today. The incident with Santana, whose real name is Laron James, “has caused problems in my marriage [and] my personal life,” the man said through an interpreter. “I had to move out of fear. I pay more rent now. I’ve been having problems with my wife. (Cliffview Pilot)

Although he still got slapped with 24 months of probation, Santana could have found himself behind bars over the incident.

“I don’t know if I did the right thing or not by calling the police that day. I saw him assaulting the girl very badly,” he told the judge. As a result, “all these problems happened.” Santana, who released the mixtape “God Will’n” last week and is scheduled for a Dipsets reunion concert in March, avoided prison through a deal with prosecutors that substantially reduced his potential sentence. Details of what allegedly went down heated up the Internet back in November 2011.

Law enforcement sources wouldn’t specify what constituted the threats, but they tell us, Juelz — real name LaRon James — was also booked for disorderly conduct. According to law enforcement, the rapper refused to let officers search his vehicle, which was later impounded by cops. Juelz was released hours later on $46,500 bail. Calls to his reps were not returned. (TMZ)

Following the arrest, Juelz hopped onto Twitter to clear up the media speculation.

“A! How many mugshots they gonna take of me smfh!!! 46k bail,” he tweeted November 10th, 2011.

“A! Police impounded my bently so I guess I gotta bring the rose out! f*ck they thought that was my only car lol #Whooooaaaaaa”

“A! My car was parked an they asked to search it. an I said no. so they locked me up an said will call a Judge for a search warrant smh wow”

“A! Smh It’s the NJ bergen county police they be bored “no action” smh so when they c someone like me they make it a big deal #godforgivethem,” he tweeted November 12th. (Juelz Santana’s Twitter)
