Juelz Santana Reveals The B.I.G. Picture, “It’s Gonna Be Like The Way They Did ‘Notorious'”

After Jim Jones hinted at a movie based on The Diplomats going into production earlier this week, Juelz Santana has come forward to provide more details on the flick.

According to Juelz, the film will primarily focus on his crew’s early beginnings and recent reunion.

“It’s gon’ be [about] the break up and us gettin’ back together leadin’ into the album,” Juelz explained in an interview. “The album is gonna be like the soundtrack to the movie. It’s just gonna be everything from [Cam’ron] meeting Biggie to him meeting me and us becoming The Diplomats…It’s gonna be a movie like the way they did Notorious — But we’re just gonna be playin’ ourselves. That might be the first [movie] where we get to play ourselves instead of [being portrayed by actors]. We’ll [play the younger versions of ourself as well], but […] we’ll cut the hair off our face so we look younger and sh*t like that.” (XXL Mag)

Earlier this week, Jim Jones unveiled the Dipset movie plans.

“We actually working on the Diplomat movie — I don’t think I was supposed to say that,” Jones said in an interview. “Our success and road to success has been filled with a lot of ups and downs. It’s kind of like an action flick if you Google us and read all the news clippings and everything that’s been going on while we been on TV. It should be a good movie.” (XXL Mag)

In 2009, Cam’ron hinted at plans to put together a film based on former New York drug dealer Guy Fischer.

Cam announced plans to release several film projects, including a follow-up to his highly popular 2006 film Killa Season, which he penned and directed. He expanded on those projects saying, “We got a movie coming out called The Bakery and then we’ll drop the second installment of Killa Season.” Cam is also considering the release of a bio-pic on convicted racketeer Guy Fischer, former member of The Council, an infamous organized crime syndicate which controlled the heroin traffic in Harlem in the 70’s and early 80’s. Outside of movie talk, Santana recently spoke on his New Jersey studio getting raided by DEA agents last winter.

“My name is the biggest so of course they are going to target me as the one to put a lot of the blame on,” the Harlem MC said. “I had no clue on what’s going on, I rent the studio out to people. That’s like if I rent the studio out right now to somebody and they choose to bring whoever they want to bring in to the studio. They rented the studio out; I have no knowledge of what’s going on until I come back and your [rental] time is finished.” (Rapfix)
