Dipset's Juelz Santana has confirmed being arrested yesterday on an old warrant charge and said he posted bail shortly after the bust.
Writing on his Twitter page, Santana also apologized to fans for not updating them on his status upon informing followers of being “locked up.”
“A!whts poppin twitter world? Is it me or Today feels like a Sunday!” (Juelz Santana’s Twitter)“A! Sorry for not letting y’all know I was good! got pulled over an a warrant popped up,but they let me bail myself out 1900$ #pocketchange,” he wrote August 11.
Early yesterday, Santana informed his followers that he was arrested, however he did not specify.

A rep for the rapper later came forward to clarify the arrest.
“Juelz Santana was arrested this AM after being pulled over in his Bentley for talking on a cell phone while driving,” Lynn K. Hobson, the Dipset member’s spokesperson, told XXLMag.com. “He was then taken into custody for driving without his license. Old warrants that had not completely cleared the system were also cleared. Juelz paid a few fines and was released immediately.” (XXL Mag)
Last year, Santana was arrested in New Jersey for allegedly attacking his girlfriend.
Teaneck police charged Santana, whose real name is LaRon James, with making terroristic threats and possessing a weapon. He’s free on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Municipal Court on Sept. 9. Capt. Dean Kazinci says Santana’s girlfriend told police a verbal dispute became physical Tuesday. Kazinci says the rapper told officers the woman was the aggressor and she had the knife. Police say the girlfriend, whose name was not released, had minor injuries that did not require medical treatment. (Associated Press)
