New York rapper Joey Bada$$ has stepped forward to react to buzz about his new B4.DA.$$ album landing a Top 5 spot on the sales chart this week.
Joey went onto his Instagram page to publicly give thanks to late Pro Era members Capital STEEZ and Junior B.

Joey managed to sell nearly 60,000 copies in the album’s first seven days.
The second of four debuts in the top 10 is up next, as rapper Joey Bada$$ bows at No. 5 with his debut effort B4.Da.$$, clocking in with 58,000 units. The bulk of that figure (94 percent) is comprised of traditional album sales, which enables the set’s No. 1 debut on both Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Rap Albums. (Billboard)
Despite the notion of success being measured by sales, Joey recently said the fan support outweighed how many units he sells.
“At the end of the day to me, what confirms it in my heart is the people. And right now I’m seeing nothing but genuine love. I just sold a couple on the street myself. That feels good to say, like word up, I could sell my music and people would be happy to buy it.” (HNHH)
