While the project is still under way, Ortiz said he felt fully confident on what is in store.

“Usually I’m the one that’s like, ‘We’re just working hard and in the studio,’ — I’m just saying, the things we’re doing are epic. Our album is going to be incredible,” Ortiz said in an interview. “I’m so excited, like real talk, it doesn’t even make sense. I don’t really care who you’re talking about. Slaughterhouse is going to be that sh*t.” (“Shade 45”)

A few days ago, producer Alchemist also spoke on the quartet’s upcoming album.

“It’s pretty crazy, man. They have some amazing records. Yeah, the album’s stupid,” Al said in an interview. “I’m making my little contributions where I can. The ball goes out of bounds, I keep it in, throw a little dirt on the ball. Nothing too fancy, Alchemist, keeping it tradition. Slaughterhouse album, four incredible emcees, Shady Records. Put it together, man, what do you think you’re going to get? Ka-boom.” (Montreality)

Last month, Slaughterhouse’s Crooked I talked about aiming for a Dr. Dre contribution to their upcoming LP.

“I know the scheduling and timing and all that blahda ladda, but man, Slaughterhouse need to be in there with [Dr.] Dre,” Crooked said in an interview. “If they was to ask me what my wish listwas, or who I wanna get on this f*ckin’ album, it’s gonna be Dr. Dre — I ain’t go through h*ll and a hand-basket to get to where I’m at to not f*ck with the good doctor. [Laughs] Sh*t. I’m in the f*ckin’ building; I’m in Interscope. Dre, where you at, baby? We need them godd*mn tracks. [Laughs]” (Hip Hop DX)

In May, Slaughterhouse’s Royce Da 5’9 gave a small update on the long-awaited quartet record.

“Yeah, we’re working on it slowly but surely, slowly and surely,” he said of the Slaughterhouse. “They’re coming here [to Detroit] for seven days starting on the 12th of May. We did the last album in six days, so sky’s the limit on how much we gonna get recorded while they’re here.” Royce also revealed that he and the crew already have a number of tracks recorded. “We’re about seven or eight songs in. Just cutting randoms, just to see where we are at.” (MTV)
