Despite the move still not finalized, Budden said fans could anticipate a Shady Records debut late next year.

“We are just about [signed to Shady Records]. It’s so premature. It’s four artists and a deal like that is just extremely complicated when you have four individual entities but the great thing about it is Em is just so passionate about hip-hop,” Budden told DJ Envy. “Everything that this group was formed around, he is in 200 percent support of so shout-out to him as well. Late 2011 [our Shady Records debut will drop], I’ll go on the record and say that.” (Power 105.1)

In August, a manager for Slaughterhouse’s Joell Ortiz denied his client was holding up the group’s label move.

“There’s a lot of rumors going around about how we’re jammed up, or we’re jamming up the Slaughterhouse deal,” Mike Heron said in an interview. “I think [this story] helps clear that up, as well. Joell is 100% free to sign with Slaughterhouse at Shady. We are 100% free to do whatever we want as far as Slaughterhouse is concerned.” (XXL Mag)

Recently, Slaughterhouse member Crooked I updated fans on the status of their move to Shady.

“I’mma tell you like this,” said Crooked when asked whether the deal had been officially completed. “I don’t know about the rest of the group, but I’m on Shady!” he said, before breaking out laughing. “I’m just playin’. This is a note to any up-and-coming artist who’s out there…any aspiring rapper or producer: when you sign a contract with a label, make sure that you have certain freedoms. Try to negotiate…We got four dudes, we got separate contracts with different labels, and some labels kinda blocking. They kinda blocking. But we’re getting over those obstacles now, and we’re negotiating…It’s worse than LeBron [James] going to The Heat. It’s crazy how long it’s taking, but it’s going to happen. Absolutely it’s gonna happen, and absolutely we will be in the studio with Eminem, recording probably the greatest music of our lifetime.” (Hip Hop DX)

Last July, Shady Records’ Bizarre spoke with SOHH about possibly gaining Slaughterhouse as labelmates.

“It’s all good man,” Biz told SOHH about Slaughterhouse joining the roster. “Royce [Da 5’9] is family man and we’ve been down for a while. Actually, we just did a tour with him and Joe Buddenout in Canada last year before Slaughterhouse was even moving like that. It’s all good. We know them cats and it’d be a good addition to the camp man. Everybody over at Shady is lyrical, so, what else could you expect. We got the best over here.” (SOHH)
