Keeping details to a minimum, Jones said the film would focus on their journey as a group.

“We actually working on the Diplomat movie — I don’t think I was supposed to say that,” Jones said in an interview. “Our success and road to success has been filled with a lot of ups and downs. It’s kind of like an action flick if you Google us and read all the news clippings and everything that’s been going on while we been on TV. It should be a good movie.” (XXL Mag)

In 2009, Cam’ron hinted at plans to put together a film based on former New York drug dealer Guy Fischer.

Cam announced plans to release several film projects, including a follow-up to his highly popular 2006 film Killa Season, which he penned and directed. He expanded on those projects saying, “We got a movie coming out called The Bakery and then we’ll drop the second installment of Killa Season.” Cam is also considering the release of a bio-pic on convicted racketeer Guy Fischer, former member of The Council, an infamous organized crime syndicate which controlled the heroin traffic in Harlem in the 70’s and early 80’s. Recently, Juelz Santana envisioned himself having his own reality show.

“Just juggling the lifestyle, being a father, an artist, a businessman, you know what I’m saying,” Santana said when asked to pitch his ideal reality show. “Coming from, you know, the Diplomats and just the things I went through with Cam, getting over these humps, us getting back together. It’s a lot of things going on that would definitely be very intriguing if I decided to open my life up like that to the people — Me just starting new trends, going to stores, you see how the swag is created. Just being able to be that close to the swag everyday, in the life.” (AHH Video)

Last spring, Jim Jones talked to SOHH about initially turning down a VH1 reality show offer.

“‘Love & Hip-Hop’ was initially my TV show that [VH1] has been trying to do for about four years now. But for three years prior, they had been trying to get me to do this reality show and they shot a pilot. I wasn’t really feeling the pilot, because I felt the camera was too much on me and showing too much of my life as far as Jim Jones is concerned. So we had re-evaluated the situation.” (SOHH)
