Indianapolis Colts’ Hakeem Nicks broke big news of joining Roc Nation Sports in February.

Along with reuniting with New York Giants’ Victor Cruz, Nicks joined handfuls of other notable Roc Nation Sports clients.

Half of Roc Nation’ clients play for New York teams. The firm also represents Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and Jets quarterback Geno Smith. Detroit Lions defensive end Ndamukong Suh was recently added to the client list, joining Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant, Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano and WNBA player Skylar Diggins. 1. So Jay-Z is gonna pay the NFL for whenever Suh gets fined this season which you know will happen because he is always fined for playing rough right? Seriously though Jay-Z proved me wrong I questioned him at first when he became a sports agent but he’s been making major moves all this year.

  2. Roc Nation is really killing them right now. Jay Z has really mastered the art of business. He’s using his name and surrounding himself with people smarter than him. With the exception of a few e.g. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, most businessmen who are successful have people smarter than them in their business. It’s just that the boss either has the name or the capital to be able to run the business. This is exactly what Jay Z is doing right now. Within a year or two, you will see another hip hop star try to open an agency. The thing is 50, Diddy and Dre are the only ones who probably have the capital to do that right now.
