Music mogul Jay Z can breathe a little bit easier this week after reportedly having his S. Carter Enterprises company dismissed from a publicized $5 million lawsuit.

According to reports, Young Hov’s $5 million legal concerns have now faded to black.

On April 7th, docs were filed in the case by both Jay-Z’s company and Yesh Music LLC and musician John Emanuele which state that all claims against the music mogul are dismissed.” (theJasmineBRAND)

Buzz about Jay sparking a lawsuit against TIDAL’s former owners for not revealing its true number of subscribers developed last month.

The legal action was first reported by Norwegian press as a “giant lawsuit” seeking $15 million from Scandinavian company Aspiro and major shareholders Norway’s Schibsted Media Group and Verdane Capital, a Stockholm-based private equity fund. Jay Z launched Tidal in the U.S. one year ago after paying Aspiro $56 million. (USA Today)

In its statement, TIDAL noted the subscribers it acquired fell below the number they were quoted.

“It became clear after taking control of TIDAL and conducting our own audit that the total number of subscribers was actually well below the 540,000 reported to us by the prior owners,” the company said in a statement sent to USA TODAY. “As a result, we have now served legal notice to parties involved in the sale. While we cannot share further comment during active legal proceedings, we’re proud of our success and remain focused on delivering the best experience for artists and fans.” (USA Today)

Last month, TIDAL unveiled big numbers including rap star Kanye West‘s The Life Of Pablo exclusive’s album streams.

Streaming wars aside, Tidal also finally released numbers for Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo streams for the first time, after West requested the service withhold the numbers when the album first became available in February. According to Tidal, Pablo surpassed 250 million streams in its first 10 days of release. (Billboard)
