Music mogul JAY-Z‘s 4:44 album is slowly making its way onto streaming giants outside of TIDAL. Young Hov’s newest solo offering’s “The Story of O.J.” has arrived on Apple Music.
According to reports, the must-watch visual is currently now available on Apple and video streaming giant YouTube.
After debuting his new album exclusively on his own Tidal music streaming service last week, today Apple Music is premiering the first music video from the release despite still not offering the actual album. The video for the song “The Story of O.J.” is available to watch within Apple Music, and it’s also being distributed officially on YouTube and elsewhere after initially being exclusively available alongside the album on Tidal. This week, details surfaced about 4:44 reaching record numbers in bootleg copies.
Jay-Z’s new album 4.44 was downloaded illegally 971,196 times in the first 72 hours after its release, according to media piracy analytics specialist MUSO. Of that nearly 1 million pirated copies, 56% downloads were in the US, 5% in the UK and the rest spread out globally. (Hype Bot)
Coincidentally, rap veteran Snoop Dogg recently admitted he had to get a bootleg 4:44 copy.
“Top of the morning. I wanna shoot a shout-out to JAY-Z, just dropped another motherf*cking hot album. 4-4-4, 4-4-4. But you know what? I don’t got TIDAL so a n*gga had to bootleg it to me. I’m on iTunes and sh*t, cuz. I don’t understand that, y’all gotta explain that to me. I went to iTunes and couldn’t find it. But my homie sent it to me. Shout-out to JAY-Z, my n*gga. He did it again. See, I ain’t no hater. I love the game for what it’s worth. The young n*ggas and the old n*ggas. Practice that. Practice showing love. Practice supporting other motherf*ckers other than yourself. Yeah, do that.”
In less than a week, JAY’s latest solo offering has already reached platinum status.
