Rap mogul Jay-Z‘s popular 40/40 Club sports bar franchise has reportedly expanded into select nationwide airports by partnering with Delaware North Companies.
Details on the business move landed online Tuesday (November 30) evening.
In the first phase of the agreement, Delaware North Companies Travel Hospitality Services, a global leader in hospitality and food service, will give travelers access to the elite, modern sports bar to watch the game of their choice in an opulent lounge setting, all without leaving the airport. The division of Delaware North Companies operates dozens of national and regional brand restaurants and shops at more than 20 major U.S. airports. (Market Wire)
A formal confirmation of the deal has also been made by a Delaware North Companies representative.
“We are thrilled to partner with the 40/40 Club, to bring a stylish sports bar and lounge to airports across the country,” Robert Stanton, vice president of business development, said in a press release announcing the new venture. “From the personalized, one-of-a-kind jerseys on the wall, to every sports game you can think of on the television screens, the club will bring a new experience that we are sure travelers will welcome.” (XXL Mag)
40/40 Club owner Desiree Perez also expressed what the business move represents for Jay’s brand.

Jay’s venue is known for being a popular attraction toward entertainers and referenced in the rapper’s rhymes.
The venues are known for their live music, celebrity patrons, and sports memorabilia. The brand gained recognition when Jay-Z referenced his investment in his 2003 song “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” with the line “Now you chillin with a boss, b*tch of course SC on the sleeve / at the 40/40 club ESPN on the screen”. The video for the Swizz Beatz produced Memphis Bleek single “Like That” was filmed at the club’s New York location. (Celebrity Gossip)
