Rap mogul Jay Z may be a Forbes Cash King but Jigga is catching heat this weekend with new footage of him experiencing a minor slip-up during his Magna Carter World Tour circulating online.

Footage of Young Hov appearing to lose his place while performing “No Church In The Wild” sprouted online Sunday (October 6).

Jay-Z hasn’t been receiving very positive reviews for his Magna Carta world tour kick off in Manchester a couple of nights ago. On top of that, a clip from his set has come to my attention today where Hov is performing the Watch The Throne track ‘No Church In The Wild’. Middle of his verse, the legendary emcee forgets some of the lyrics and finds it hard to finish it off before the Frank Ocean hook kicks in. (HHNM)

This weekend, a clip of Jay performing his verse off Drake’s “Pound Cake” during the overseas tour emerged.

Jay Z was in Manchester last night for the first stop of his Magna Carter World Tour. During his set, he treated the crowd to his first ever performance of “Pound Cake,” his collaboration with Drake off the latter’s Nothing Was The Same. Obviously, Drake wasn’t there on stage with Jay, but Jay was able to perform his verse and transition right into his next song, “No Church In The Wild.” (Complex)

Back in 2010, Jigga credited fellow rap veteran DMX for inspiring his on-stage live set skills.

“In hip-hop, there’s not many great performers,” Jay said in an interview. “I look outside the genre, measuring myself against others. I look at Madonna’s production and envy that. Daft Punk‘s set…ll my early years? Forget it. I was a horrible performer. DMX tore me to pieces. I remember being stunned. [DMX] had me really working. But I had to figure this out. If you want to be a headliner, you better put on a headline show.” (Los Angeles Times)

Earlier the same year, Jay said he had continued to perfect his on-stage presence.

“I’ve been working on my live show for 10 years now, just trying to get it better and better. I used to come out with just a DJ, now I got a band. The production’s gotten bigger and the lighting guy takes off his shoes and he plays to the beat,” he laughs. “The whole thing is being upgraded every single year.” (Rap-Up)
