Based on some excerpts from his cover feature, Jigga does not shy away his love for Baby Blue.

“She plays a song and she goes, ‘More, Daddy, more . . . Daddy song.’ She’s my biggest fan. If no one bought the Magna Carta, the fact that she loves it so much, it gives me the greatest joy. And that’s not like a cliché. I’m really serious. Just to see her–‘Daddy song, more, Daddy.’ She’s genuine, she’s honest, because she doesn’t know it makes me happy. She just wants to hear it.” (Vanity Fair)

Jigga also reserves some comments for the never-ending rumors of his wife Beyoncé faking her pregnancy.

“I don’t even know how to answer that. It’s just so stupid. You know, I felt dismissive about it, but you’ve got to feel for her. I mean, we’ve got a really charmed life, so how can we complain? But when you think about it, we’re still human beings. . . . And even in hip-hop, all the blogs–they had a field day with it. I’m like, We come from you guys, we represent you guys. Why are you perpetuating this? Why are you adding fuel to this ridiculous rumor?” (Vanity Fair)

Back in July, Jigga also touched on past rumors about Bey faking her pregnancy and not being the real mother of their daughter.

“That’s probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard and the fact people were really running with that,” Jay said referring to rumors about Bey not giving birth to Blue Ivy Carter. “At first I thought it was one of those get press things, like, you know, ‘Let’s run with this for press.’ But then I was like, ‘Y’all really believe this.’ They started going so far. Like, ‘Y’all really believe this.’ And that’s what’s really messed up because the time you’re supposed to be most joyous, you got a life, it’s supposed to be a joyous time for you and you have to deal with that. Whether you care about that or not, it’s really annoying.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Last year, Young Hov gushed over the thought of spoiling his daughter throughout her teenage years.

At the last minute, I remembered to ask after his family, “Oh, my family’s amazing.” And the baby? “She’s four months.” Marcy raised me, and whether right or wrong/Streets gave me all I write in the song. But what will TriBeCa give Blue? “I actually thought about that more before she was born. Once she got here I’ve been in shock until maybe last week?” Her childhood won’t be like his, and this fact he takes in his stride. “We would fight each other. My brother would beat me up,” he says, but it was all in preparation for the outside. “I was going to have to fight, I was going to have to go through some things, and they were preparing me.” He smiles: “She doesn’t have to be tough. She has to love herself, she has to know who she is, she has to be respectful, and be a moral person.” It’s a new day. (New York Times)
