More than just a coincidence, Jay’s longtime sidekick Lenny S. revealed Drizzy and Hov are working on new tunes.

And another Jay-Z collaboration is on the horizon. After Raekwon instagrammed a picture of himself and Hove a couple of days ago, another pic of Jay and Drake has now surfaced. The picture was taken by Lenny Santiago, the longtime A&R over at Def Jam and friend of Jay. This caption has been added: “Warning: Please be very afraid of the music we’re working on. OVO x ROCNATION” As we know, Drizzy is working on his new album Nothing Was The Same this summer, it is also rumored that Jay-Z is working on a full-length as well. (Hype Trak)

Earlier in the week, a new photo of Jigga and Raekwon together landed on the Internet.

Jay-Z and Raekwon on the same track? It’s pretty much a dream come true for 90s rap heads. Both are wizards with the drug rap and crimes tales but from two completely different sides of the hustlers spectrum. However, they definitely share some common ground and have helped keep the integrity in New York rap. Thanks to Lenny S., we know a collabo is on the way. Was the RZA there?? Please. (Miss Info TV)

The Wu member confirmed something is cooking up by tweeting out the photo on Twitter.

“Long time coming!!! Hov x chef … Much luv to my dude Lenny S aka kodaklens for making it happen!!!… http://instagram.com/p/ZUKp2XL3vf/,” Rae tweeted late night May 14th. (Raekwon’s Twitter)

Coincidentally, this has all come just days after rap veteran Busta Rhymes questioned why rap stars like Jay and Nas hesitate to collaborate more often.

“There’s one of two reasons to me why the same people appear on every song: one reason is either they’re just the hottest dudes, and the other reason is . . . [Long pause] It’s interesting to me that Eminem isn’t on a lot of people’s sh*t. It’s interesting to me that Nas isn’t on a lot of people’s sh*t. It’s interesting to me that Jay-Z isn’t on a lot of people’s sh*t. A lot of the very dangerously lyrical motherf*ckers. I think there’s a fear factor that plays a role, because sometimes you really don’t know if you’re going to be happy with what you asked for – especially if you might get your a** whooped on your own f*cking record!” (Rolling Stone)
