While the details are still scarce, Young Hov’s latest signee became official Thursday (April 25).

When a former college basketball women’s star gets drafted into the WNBA, you rarely pay attention to what sports agency she signs with. However, this one should warrant a little bit of attention. Of course by now we know all about Jay Z and his latest sports endeavor — he’s become a sports agent and has already started RocNation Sports. Well on Thursday morning, Jay Z signed his latest client as Skylar Diggins reportedly agreed to be represented by RocNation. Diggins isn’t and won’t be the headline figure at RocNation, but it’s still an intriguing move. Diggins was selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2013 WNBA Draft less than two weeks ago and was widely considered to be one of the top three recognizable players in women’s basketball aside of Britney Griner and Elana Delle Donne. Last summer, Diggins addressed rap star Lil Wayne‘s support of her Notre Dame team and kept mum on romance speculation.

“It was good, it just shows that our sport can entertain any demographic,” Diggins said about Wayne supporting her. “He showed not only love to me, myself, but my team, my school, he watches women basketball. He’s a fan of my craft and likewise with me and him.” (Baller Status)

Jigga is reportedly looking to sign NHL prospect Seth Jones to his growing sports company.

Sources said Jay-Z’s organization wants to strike a deal to be involved in the star’s marketing and branding, reports The Post’s Kirsten Fleming. Jones would then benefit from both sides of the CAA and Roc Nation partnership. “When Seth comes to the NHL draft [in Newark, NJ] in June, his family, agents at CAA and Roc Nation are going to have a powwow to see if he’ll sign with them,” a source said. Last week, Jay released an open letter on his exit from being minority owner of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets to try his hand at expanding Roc Nation Sports.

“The Nets have made their mark on the NBA and as they enter a new era, Roc Nation does as well; as we embark on Roc Nation Sports. Our newest endeavor is committed to building the brands of professional athletes as we have done for some of today’s top music artists. For Roc Nation Sports to function at its full potential, NBA rules stipulate that I relinquish my ownership in the Brooklyn Nets. It was a tough decision but as I stated earlier, it’s not about ownership. Congratulations to The Nets on a great season and making the playoffs! I will always be a Brooklyn Net.” (Life + Times)
