Over a year after Jay-Z and Kanye West dropped their platinum-selling Watch the Throne collaborative effort, producer Ryan Leslie has revealed some tracks which missed making the final cut.

According to Leslie, he lost a handful of potential Throne records back in 2010.

“There were records that I was working on, multi-tracks that I had for the Watch the Throne album,” R. Les said on Wednesday when he appeared on Wednesday’s “RapFix Live.” “If you read the credits for Watch the Throne, I’m not on that album. And obviously my album isn’t on there.” It took R. Les some time, but he was eventually able to recreate the lost songs for his upcoming Les is More LP (October 22) as well as his WTT collabos with Kanye West and Jay-Z. “As far as those lost [tracks], I talked to ‘Ye about it, I said, ‘Yo man, what can we do about this,’ ” Ryan said of hoping to land some of those Yeezy tracks on his own project. “He said, ‘Yo Ryan, don’t worry about it.’ He’s always working on new stuff and I think that you will be able to hear some of those collaborations on some future projects.” (MTV)

Back in March, renowned sound engineer Young Guru spoke on a possible Watch the Throne follow-up.

“It’s definitely a serious consideration. Hasn’t been underway yet but definitely serious consideration. Has been talked about but hasn’t been executed yet. Definitely could happen. A lot of artists just say sh*t too but if you think about it, this is just my opinion, the way I would like it to go-I would like Kanye to do the G.O.O.D. Music album and Jay-Z to do a solo album then they go out and tour and do all that sh*t and then next year, or the end of the year, we get Watch the Throne 2. To me, that would be the best thing to happen. I think the G.O.O.D. Music album is necessary for Kanye to establish that brand because they need to establish [themselves].” (Complex)

Last winter, Watch the Throne contributing producer Sham “Sak Pase” Joseph talked to SOHH about a likely sequel.

“Nah, it’s not surprising,” Pase told SOHH when asked if he is surprised about a possible Watch the Throne follow-up releasing sooner than later. “I just heard so much great music and if they wanted to make another album, I think we would all be blown away by it. It’s pretty scary what Jay-Z and Kanye West’s capacity is. This music, it’s very easy for them because coming from a music standpoint, Kanye and the people he has around him and his ear for music, it’s just impeccable. Then you have Jay-Z who understands the power of each word he says on the record. They’re going to mess up anyone’s release schedule at any given point if they drop another album. You’re going to have to push your record back because it’s unfair.” (SOHH)

After going missing in October 2010, Leslie eventually recovered his stolen laptop.

Armin Augstein said in court filings that he repeatedly tried to reap the reward from the Harlem-based musician after finding the laptop while walking his dog in a Stommelerbusch, Germany, park about a month after the MacBook went missing. Leslie said the computer was swiped from the back of a Mercedes in Cologne on Oct.23, 2010, during a European concert tour. The budding mogul publicized a $20,000 finder’s fee – but then sweetened the reward to $1 million. “It’s unfortunate that my client has to go to such lengths to recover the reward,” said Michael Fischman, Augstein’s U.S.-based lawyer. Augstein, a 52-year-old German, is seeking the $1 million fee plus interest, according to the suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan. (New York Daily News)
