According to reports, New York musician Joel McDonald has taken action against the high-profile entertainers for allegedly jacking his 2009 track.

Joel McDonald, a Brooklyn musician, said he wrote the song and published it in 2009 on iTunes, but the high profile performers took credit for the song in 2011 when they released a joint album called “Watch the Throne.” In papers filed last month in Manhattan Supreme Court, McDonald is demanding $3 million in damages for what he calls copyright infringement. These two songs do sound pretty much the same…

Outside of this, Jay has spent this week with wife Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

Jay Z, Blue Ivy and Yoncé were all spotted arriving on a private jet at Bastia-Poretta airport in Corsica, where they’re expected to enjoy a peaceful vacation in the South of France. According to a source, Jay tipped their hostess on the private jet a hefty sum of €500, and when she returned to provide him with change, the rapper laughed and refused to accept. How nice! E! News has also learned that the Carters have chartered a luxury yacht that rents for around $800,000 per week. (E! Online)

Photos of the Carters doing what married couples do during pal Kanye West‘s live Made In America set surfaced online a few days ago.

Jay Z and Beyonce shared a cozy moment in the VIP area as they watched Kanye West perform at Sunday’s Made in America Festival in Los Angeles. After seeing these photos, that capture an intimate moment between the two, we can all agree they are definitely, maybe, possibly, absolutely, perhaps, probably, 100% for sure breaking up or staying together. Although brief with her words, Beyoncé’s mom Tina Knowles shut down the split gossip when confronted by paparazzi last month.

“Haters gonna be haters, and there’s nothing we can do about that,” Knowles said when approached by media. “Everything is perfect.” (TMZ)
