Although still in the early stages, reports claim initial sales have crushed what Jay and Ye scooped out two years ago.

Kanye recently ripped into the pair’s new tour announcement, saying: “I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f*ckin’ with that ‘Suit & Tie,” so we can’t imagine he’ll be too thrilled when he finds out that Justin Timberlake and Jay are outselling their previous gigs by a fair amount. According to StubHub, the Jay-Z/JT ‘Legends of the Summer’ tour tickets sales in the first three weeks are beating the Jay-Z/Kanye ‘Watch the Throne’ tour during the same first three weeks on sale by an impressive 5 to 1. And the site is also reporting that the number of fans visiting their website to check out the Legends of the Summer tour tickets is nearly three times the number that checked out Watch the Throne! (Entertainment Wise)

To make matters worse, JT and Jay-Z may also be working on a Watch the Throne-esque project.

The singer has hinted at a potential album to tie in with their ‘Legends Of The Summer’ tour. Justin Timberlake has hinted that he and Jay-Z may release a ‘Watch The Throne’ style album of collaborations. The two stars are set to embark on their joint ‘Legends Of The Summer’ tour across North America later this year, after recently teaming up on Justin’s single ‘Suit & Tie’ . Justin has now revealed that he and the rapper have also recorded a number of other songs together that could see release one day. (Capital FM)

Details on the music duo’s new tour circulated online in late February.

Rumors have swirled and the announcement (sort of) is finally here. Two of music’s biggest stars in Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake will embark on a 12-date stadium tour, “Legends of the Summer.” Taking place in outdoor venues, notable stops on the North American trek includes New York City’s Yankee Stadium, Toronto’s Rogers Centre (formerly SkyDome), Miami’s Sun Life Stadium and Boston’s Fenway Park. Dates have yet to be announced, but according to clues revealed on Jay-Z’s Life+Times website, the locations look to be confirmed. Expect a second announcement with ticket details and dates to come soon. The “Suit & Tie” collaborators have already performed at this year’s Grammy Awards, and Super Bowl weekend in support of Timberlake’s forthcoming The 20/20 Experience album (Mar.19). (Miss Info TV)

Kanye and Young Hov’s Watch the Throne 2011 run currently stands as the highest growing hip-hop tour.

Jay-Z and West promoted Watch the Throne with a 34-date, North American concert tour produced by Live Nation, which began on October 29 and concluded on December 18, 2010. By the end of 2011 the tour had grossed $48.3 million making it the highest grossing hip-hop tour and the eighth highest grossing tour of 2011. By its conclusion, the tour had become the highest grossing concert tour ever by a hip-hop act. (Wikipedia)
