Rap mogul Jay-Z continues to show the world he never takes a day off by coming through for superstar wife Beyoncé Knowles-Carter‘s benefit concert last night (June 1) in London.
Bey brought her hip-hop hubby out at the sold-out Chime For Change charity event to help promote gender equality overseas and performed their 2003 smash, “Crazy In Love.”
US singer Beyonce performed a set full of female anthems at a London concert to raise funds for women’s health, education and justice. The concert, which organisers hoped would reach a billion viewers, was staged by Chime For Change, a charity started by Italian fashion house Gucci which crowdfunds donations for projects to advance gender equality in more than 70 countries. The singer was joined on stage by husband and rapper Jay-Z for Crazy In Love, but sang stirring anthems of female empowerment for which she is best known alone. (TV NZ One News)
The singer reportedly told the packed crowd they had already raised millions from the event.

Along with Queen Bey and the “Best Rapper Alive,” high-profile additional performances from Jennifer Lopez also went down.
Some of the biggest names in music and movies — including Beyonce, Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and Salma Hayek — came together at London’s Twickenham Stadium Saturday to participate in a benefit concert promoting girls’ and women’s rights. Jennifer Lopez energized the crowd of approximately 50,000 with her new song Live It Up, and she later joined Mary J. Blige on The Beatles‘ Come Together. (USA Today)
The event came a day after Jay and Bey revealed a few personal photos of themselves overseas.
Beyoncé invaded Berlin during her “Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” earlier this month. Now the private superstar has shared some personal photos from her trip on her official website. Jay-Z holds his wife in his arms as they pose in front of the graffitied Berlin Wall in Germany. They also dine at a posh restaurant, where Bey sips from a glass of wine as she sits in her hubby’s lap (further downplaying the pregnancy rumors). (Rap-Up)
