While only a teaser, Jigga touches on a range of topics from rap veteran Slick Rick to politics.

Serving as executive producer for the soundtrack to Baz Luhrmann‘s The Great Gatsby film has its benefits. Along with assembling an all-star cast, Jay-Z includes his own new song titled “100$ Bill.” Appearing on the soundtrack’s deluxe edition arriving on May 7, you can now enjoy a extended preview of Hov’s new offering, courtesy of iTunes. Jay-Z name drops Slick Rick, 9/11, politicians, and drug peddling on the groovy sounding cut. Co-starring with Jay on the project are Lana Del Rey, will.i.am, Fergie, Q-Tip, Gotye, Florence + The Machine, The xx, and Emeli Sandé. Beyoncé and André 3000‘s cover of Amy Winehouse‘s “Back to Black” is the second bonus track, only available on the deluxe edition. (Miss Info TV)

Along with appearing on the LP, Young Hov also takes executive producing duties on the film’s soundtrack.

Grammy Award-winning musical artist Shawn “JAY Z” Carter has collaborated with writer/producer/director Baz Luhrmann on “The Great Gatsby”-in the capacity of Executive Producer-to bring the modern “Jazz Age” energy of F. Scott Fitzgerald`s original text to the big screen, procuring, performing, producing and arranging for a soundtrack featuring some of the world`s top musical artists. (Reuters)

According to R&B singer The-Dream, Young Hov is reportedly working on his next solo effort with help from himself, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz.

Jay-Z is calling on some heavy-hitters for his new album. While details remain scarce, The-Dream has revealed that he has been in the lab with super-producers Timbaland and Swizz Beatz. He once again confirmed that the Roc Nation mogul is recording new material. “Jay of course is working on an album,” the Grammy-winning hitmaker tells Rap-Up.com. While he remained tight-lipped, he did share that he has been working closely with Timbaland and Swizz Beatz. “Mostly close to Tim. Both of them actually. We were all in the studio together. We were all in the same building, working on Bey’s album and Jay started working on his,” he says. (Rap-Up)
