Music mogul JAY-Z reportedly pulled the trigger and let diehard fans grab his new 4:44 album for free-99 – whether they were TIDAL subscribers or not.

New reports claim the Jigga Man’s long-awaited LP arrived this weekend with no strings attached.

JAY-Z fans unwilling to sign up for Tidal in order to get their fix of the new Jigga album, rejoice! 4:44 is available for free download on the streaming service with no subscription. Those wanting to download the project go to 444.Tidal.com and after entering an e-mail address, and the promo code, SPRINT, the album will be made available to download for free. (XXL Mag)

However, some reports claim the free-99 project is no longer up for grabs.

UPDATE: It seems like the free download did not last very long and has already been pulled. Keep trying in case they make more available via the ‘SPRINT’ code. (Highsnobiety)

Weekend reports claim JAY’s latest studio release is inevitably headed to Apple Music in the coming days.

A source confirmed that 4:44 will be added to Apple Music/iTunes next week after its one-week exclusivity window on Tidal; the songs also streamed on 160 iHeartRadio stations across the U.S. after 4:44’s release and they will air until midnight on July 1 on the network’s Urban and Rhythmic formats. The exclusive is part of a $200 million deal the carrier signed with Tidal earlier this year. (Billboard)

Reports also suggest 4:44 will eventually land on real retail store shelves.

A source close to the project also said that a physical release is eventually planned, though no timetable has been set yet for that roll-out. That source also confirmed that fans need to sign up for Sprint service in order to get the album if they are not already Tidal subscribers. (Billboard)
