With their "On The Run" tour finally over, music duo Jay Z and Beyoncé's stylist June Ambrose has stepped up to speak on the secret to their fashion-setting ways.
In Ambrose’s opinion, Young Hov complements Bey’s style whenever they enter the public eye.
“Beyoncé’s over the top and Jay’s the perfect complement,” Ambrose told PEOPLE at a Lexus Short Films event in NYC. “Beyoncé’s fashion is like Vogue couture, Jay is more like ‘the best accessory’ — very laid back, has a little bit of street edge, but still the sense of glamour to it.” (People)
She also credited Queen Bey for helping Jay find comfort in a less executive-looking outfit.
Ambrose added that the rapper refined his fashion aesthetic more after teaming up with Bey, personally and professionally. “When the two of them got together, he was really in an executive place,” she said. “I think that he just grew into his look as if it was second skin, and I think that when you settle down, you become more secure. I think his look has become so much more solid. When you live a solid life, your look is solid.” (People)
