Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy has voiced his grievances over losing an opportunity to sign Jay Electronica to his label and the anguish he felt knowing his friend chose to align with Jay-Z's Roc Nation last month.

Admitting to feeling hurt, Diddy shared his reaction to Electronica’s move with Shady 45 personality Elliott Wilson.

“I definitely felt a way about it because that’s my friend,” Diddy said December 22. “I was without a doubt just looking at the situation selfishly. I wanted to rock with my friend. But at the same time, I support my friend on what’s best for his career and Jay-Z is also one of my best friends in the game — I was a little bit of a sore loser and at the same time just being a little bit sensitive and emotional. But we talked about it. I understood where he was coming from. That’s the beauty of our friendship.” (Shade 45)

Last month, Electronica publicly addressed Diddy over Twitter after being accused of betrayal.

“@iamdiddy you should be more clear than that too brother. betrayal is a serious allegation. real talk,” Jay wrote Monday (November 15).

“@iamdiddy and you know im gonna be me so i aint gonna be holding my tongue if you gon be out here emotional and wreckless with it.”

“#WhateverHappenedTo Congratulations Blackman, i’m happy for you.”

“@iamdiddy Thank you Blackman. Now Lets GO!!!!#NoBitchassness in 2011. Lets GO!!!” (Jay Electronica’s Twitter)

Diddy responded and also told his 3 million followers he was not subliminally questioning “Jay-E”.

“Before we start the week off with Rumors. I am not mad at Jay Z! I’m not mad at anyone! Jz was not the friend I was referring 2 Be clear.”

“Let’s start the week off the right way! Spread Love people!+++energy! Take that! Hate is for chumps!! I Never Hate only Congratulate! Le go!”

“@JayElectronica I proud of you! I’m happy for you. I love you! I congratulate you’ I’m not mad at you! All I wanna do is see you win! All love” (Diddy’s Twitter)

Speculation over a Diddy/Jay Electronica rift developed following the rapper’s signing to Roc Nation in mid-November.

Looks like Jay Electronica signing to Roc Nation has effected his relationship with Diddy. Diddy tweeted earlier today, “D*mn it hurts in a whole other way when someone you felt mean really felt was your Friend, Betrays you. It hurts when Breathe.” It is public knowledge that Diddy has courted Jay Electronica for Bad Boy Records, but never was able to lure him in. They have some recording history, with the track “The Ghost Of Christopher Wallace.” Looks like Jay Z’s roster is bolstered while Diddy is left just shaking his head in disbelief. (The Source)
