Jay Elect jumped onto his Twitter account Thursday (July 3) to unload his issues.

“The days of no accountability and everyone just out here free willying is over.,” Jay tweeted July 3.

“Ps, somebody tell Lyor Cohen and those like him, Dame is looking for him. WE have some questions for him. #accountability”

Despite the growing speculation, Jay Elect denied his delayed debut would arrive on July 12 earlier this year.

In an album discussion thread on the hip-hop forum KanyeToThe, Jay surprised fans and answered some Q’s about the highly anticipated work. After one fan asked if the album was coming on July 12, after the Roc Nation rapper posted a cryptic tweet that was later deleted and apparently read, “ps, we are going to try and burst the heavens open on July 12th”, he replied, “No sir.. but i promise you its coming this year and I’m about to heat the game up and charge the particles so high..” (VIBE)

Jay Elect boasted attending the upcoming Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival in April.

“i was gonna tweet, but I’m gonna go youtube commenting instead. Whats your youtube channel? anyone?,” Jay tweeted April 24.

Recent reports revealed, Jay and Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon would take center stage at the yearly event this month.

Last night, Brooklyn Bodega held the kickoff announcement party for the 10th anniversary of their Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, where they announced that Raekwon and Jay Electronica would be the two major headliners at this year’s fest. Rae and Jay will also be joined by Joey Bada$$, CJ Fly and Pro Era, which Brooklyn Bodega Executive Director Wes Jackson compared to the early Wu-Tang Clan. This year’s festival will take place from July 9-14, with the major performances set for Saturday the 12th. (XXL Mag)
