Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx will be heading back to the studio to prepare the release of his upcoming album Intuition, set to drop this winter.
According to Billboard, the singer has recruited a mega star line-up to help with the project including The-Dream, Timbaland, Ne-Yo and Sean Garret among others. It will serve as his third album and follow-up to his multi-platinum selling 2005 release Unpredictable which sold over 598,000 in its first week in stores.
Led by the album’s first single “Just Like Me,” featuring T.I., Intuition also features additional contributions from Salaam Remi, Carlos McKinney and Christopher “Tricky“ Stewart.
Intuition is currently scheduled to drop on Tuesday, December 16 via J Records.
In related news, the singer will also be back on the big screen next year in the upcoming true story-based film The Soloist.
Playing alongside actor Robert Downey, Jr., Foxx will portray Nathaniel Ayers, as a homeless prodigy musician suffering from schizophrenia. In the film, he crosses paths with Downey’s character, a journalist interested in writing about him, in Los Angeles while demonstrating his vast violin and cello talents.
The Soloist is currently scheduled to be released in March of ’09.
