In Jada’s opinion, his music ultimately speaks for itself and places him in a higher class than most of his peers.

“I was one of the best to ever do it,” Jada said when asked to describe his own legacy. “Despite the politics, despite accolades, which I have all of those, money as well, but when you just put everything, when they come up with a category where they just put everything to the side, all of the amenities and just lyrics and good music, [I’m] one of the greatest to ever put that type of music out.” (Montreality)

Recently, Young Money’s Gudda Gudda put Jada in his SOHH Top 5 Dead or Alive list.

“Of course I have to put Jadakiss in there. You can’t have a Top 5 without Jadakiss. I always thought he was in the top three best rappers of all time. I just feel like people respect him, a lot of artists respect him but he still doesn’t get all of the respect he deserves in the rap game. So Jadakiss is always gonna be that underrated rapper to me.” (SOHH Top 5 Dead Or Alive)

Rap newcomer Don Trip prevoiusly told SOHH he credited Kiss for molding his rap career.

“I’ve got to throw Jada in there. He’s in my Top 5 because no matter what, he keeps it genuine. He’s one of the people that managed to keep on having a career after B.I.G. passed. He managed to stand on his fan. I’m a LOX fan but I’m a super Jada fan. He inspired me the most. I learned a lot of my bars from him. I learned how to count my bars from him.” (SOHH Top 5 Dead Or Alive)

Last year, Kiss reacted to hip-hop heads and producer Swizz Beatz putting him in Top 5 Dead or Alive lists.

“That’s a blessing. I don’t really get caught up in that, but I appreciate when people acknowledge me as one of their top artists, whether it’s numerical or just in general. I appreciate the love from [my fans and peers] appreciating the body of work I’ve been putting out all of these years.” (Rap-Up)
