With the unexpected release of Eminem's "Warning" diss record towards Mariah Carey, SOHH reached out to Ja Rule for his reaction to the rapper's hard-hitting track.

Despite past issues with Em’s artist, 50 Cent, Rule said the male to female battle skill ratio does not equal for Slim Shady’s latest rap victim.

“It all stemmed from an Eminem comment,” Rule said in Mariah’s defense. “With him saying he peed on her or some sh*t like that, I don’t, you know, come on. Real talk, there really shouldn’t be any [diss] records being made. [laughs] It should be a lot of swinging and swinging. But hey, it is what it is…I don’t feel like — I don’t have to insult a woman. Even if he did do that, let’s say he did do that, you’re kissing and telling now? You a chick? You Superhead? You kissing and telling and sh*t? I don’t know.” (SOHH)

Em’s new diss song attacks both Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon.

“Only reason I dissed you in the first place is because you denied seeing me and now I’m pissed off,” Em says on the song’s intro. “Sit back homie, relax, in fact grab a six pack, kick back while I kick facts/Yeah Dre sick track, perfect way to get back/Wanna hear something with wack/I got the same exact tat that’s on Nick’s back/I’m ‘Obsessed’ now/Oh geesh, that’s supposed to be me in the video with the goatee, wow, Mariah, didn’t expect it to go balls out/B*tch shut the f*ck up before I put all the phone calls out you made to my house when you was Wildin’ Out before Nick/When you was on my d*ck/And give you something to smile about/How many times you fly to my house just on account/Better shut your lying mouth if you don’t want Nick finding out/You probably think since it’s been so long that if I had something on you, I woulda did it by now/Oh on the contrary Mary Poppins/I’m mixing our studio session down and sending it to mastering to make it loud/Enough dirt on you to murder you/This is what the f*ck I do/Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures/However you prefer to do and that goes for Nick too/F*ggot, you think I’m scurred of you/You gonna ruin my career, you better get one/Like I’ma sit and fight with you over some sl*t b*tch c*nt that made me put up with her psycho a** over six months/And only spread her legs to let me hit once/Yeah, whatcha gonna say, I’m lucky?/Tell the public that I was so ugly that you f*cking had to be drunk to f*ck me…” (“The Warning”)

Em initially said his past diss record, “Bagpipes From Baghdad,” may have been a little too touchy towards the couple.

“As a kid [I had a crush on Mariah], definitely,” Em revealed in an interview last spring. “With the song ‘Bagpipes From Baghdad,’ there’s a line on there, I mean, I kinda spazed out on that record but I guess I spazzed out on every record. There’s a line on there that was a little harsh, you know, it’s a harsh line, it was pretty intense on the swag level but you know man, the way I look at it, I said it, I had no idea he was going to take it like he took it. I had no idea Nick Cannon was gonna start wildin’ out on me. No pun intended. I heard about some of the things he was saying, I didn’t read his blog or anything. It is what it is, he’s supposed to defend his wife. I expected him to do that. But at the end of the day, it’s a line I said, I meant to say I wish them the best. That’s what I meant to say…I didn’t plan on taking it [to battling], hopefully it doesn’t, but you know, it is what it is.” (Tim Westwood TV)

Cannon previously took to his blog last May to address Slim.

“At first I thought it was old material that had been dug up from when dude “fantasized” about having a pretend fling with Mariah,” Cannon wrote via his blog. “So as I further examine the track, I hear dude cross the line. He begins to call my wife out of her name! Now as y’all know, I don’t take that type of nonsense lightly. So on some grown man sh*t I’m instantly like, I got to get at this Lame…Let’s not forget about Eminem’s amateur mixtape rants of calling African Americans N*gger and how he hates “Black B*tches.” How did we let him get away with that in the first place?! He is a natural born racist in disguise…So I’m putting this out there now. Marshall Mathers, you need to holler at me on some grown man sh*t. Man to man, let’s meet up and deal with this like adults…So Miss Marshall, I’m going to make you wish you never spoke my name and regret the ungodly things you said about my wife. This is going to be fun! It’s however you want it! Just remember, you did this to yourself! Your legacy has now been tainted from this day forth! You will now be known as the rapper who lost to Corny-a** Nick Cannon!!!” (Nick Cannon’s Blog)

  1. What does Roc Nation sports really do actually. I only hear of niggaz signing over there.

    • Roc Nation Sports represent their clients’ interest through negotiations, and lucrative contracts. “The Mariners signed Robinson Cano to a 10-year, $240 million contract, ending his tenure with the Yankees.” They basically operate like many other agents in any field. Managers in the music industry, Talent agencies for actors, etc….. At the end of the day, all agents collect a percentage from the contracts they negotiate for their clients. Roc Nation Sports is an increasing force to recon with because their clients believe that their careers are in good hands. Most sport agents really don’t care about their clients after retirement. This is the area in which Roc Nation Sports stand out. However, Roc Nations Sports is still in its infancy, and only time will tell if they are successful in their business endeavors.

    • right on point Tech, a company like Roc Nation gives their clients access into music, clothing, advertising ventures that other normal agents dont have. Dont be surprised if Kevin Durant drops a mix tape under Roca-A-Fella or some other company Jay controls

  2. He grabbing all people of color.. Until he gets manziel he shutting shit down for these boring ass no good agents of the past.

  3. Just got through watching an ESPN film about sports agency and Jay Z made a good move going this direction into sports. It’s reportedly a multi-billion dollar industry and Jay Z should be making plenty off signing these big names.

  4. Come on. Really? Ja Rule still running his mouth. Like he think he still it it. Shut the F up Ja. Em ended your career with one song. When was Ja ruled last hit? It was 2002 after Eminem dropped hailey’s revenge and then bully in 03 no one could take Ja seriously any more. I’ll give jarule credit he went toe to toe with 50 and Dree and them but the minute he brought Eminem into the fight talking qbout hailey he killed his own career
