Former Murder Inc. artist Ja Rule has stayed true to his word to no longer engaging in his everlasting beef toward 50 Cent and explained why his rap nemesis is not a threat to him.
While Rule is not looking to drop any anti-50 records, he still does not envision a reunion occuring between him and his former foe.
“It’s resolved now. I’m cool,” Rule promised in an interview. “We ain’t beefing no more…We’ll never collaborate. That’s just what it is. You don’t have to be at war with somebody, but it’s also kind of like U.S. and another country that may not get along with. We don’t gotta go to war, but we’re not friends either. But we can coincide inside of that world. He’s doing him, and he’s not thinking about me, and I’m doing me and I’m not thinking about him.” (The Life Files)
He also revealed his embarrassment for entertaining a war of words with 50 via Twitter in March.
“I was a little ashamed of myself to be even involved with that because I’m like, yo, I’m 35 years old and I’m on Twitter beef?,” Rule added. “That’s not something I would want to entertain, but I’m a man first, so I’m reading sh*t like him sending tweets and little things about me.” (The Life Files)
Last month, Rule made a promise to no longer engage in the beef.
“Sway, I promise you, he can get on Twitter right now and say, ‘Ja you b*tch a** n*gga,’ and I’m gonna say, ‘Good for you, young man. I wish you well,’ ” Ja told Sway in an interview. “I think a lot of people got wrapped up in my and 50’s whole nonsense. For that, I would’ve done that differently, maybe. My beef was with one dude; I’mma keep it with that dude. I’m not gonna drag in this person and that person. Those old feelings are gonna bring back more old emotions and more old feelings. It’s not important to me anymore.” (MTV)
In March, Rule attacked 50 via the popular social network and credited himself for inspiring the rap star.
“@50cent talked about me singing but that n*gga sure be hitting that high note lol My STUDENT!!!,” Rule tweeted March 23rd.”
