Dreamville’s Bas is letting his voice be heard amid the controversy surrounding San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
Bas went to his Instagram page a few days ago to address the backlash Kaep has received for not standing up during the national anthem at NFL preseason games.
Over this past holiday break, Dreamville head J. Cole showed his support for Kaepernick at a live concert.
Coincidentally, Kaepernick’s jersey sales have skyrocketed since his national anthem controversy went viral.
According to the 49ers website, the Kaepernick jersey’s sales were ranking in at No. 20 before his protest began. After the firestorm has made Kaepernick the NFL’s most talked-about rebel rouser as of late, his jersey sales have skyrocketed to No. 1 on the franchise’s website among the team’s legends including Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, and Ronnie Lott jerseys. It’s leap from Friday when Twitter user Mike Rosenberg pointed out that it was at No. 3. (Complex)
