Although Pac is best known for holding it down for the West Coast, Cole named him his favorite person from the Big Apple.

Who’s your favorite New Yorker, living or dead, real or fictional? Tupac. His attitude, energy, and passion is inspiring: He accomplished more in 25 years than most other people do in a lifetime. What’s the best meal you’ve eaten in New York? The lobster mac and cheese at Catch. I probably discovered it about six or seven months ago and just got hooked. What’s your drink? Hennessy and Coke. Nothing fancy. Sometimes I try a Mai Tai. It’s so fruity. It’s a little embarrassing, but I like it. Cheesecake Factory has good Mai Tais, actually, which they don’t have in New York City. We need to get one. I tried to look into investing, to franchise, but they don’t do that. (NY Mag)

When asked for his take on the Trumpster, Cole wasted no time in admitting he is not a fan.

What do you think of Donald Trump? I honestly think he’s a clown, to tell you the truth. Clearly a smart guy who made a lot of money, but his public image is clownish. I can’t take him seriously. What do you hate most about living in New York? I hate that I love it so much, but it’s so expensive. I hate the fact that I know that for what I spend for my place, I could live like a king anywhere else in the world. But I love it so much that I settle. Who is your mortal enemy? I’m about to start a beef right now. Nah, my enemy is definitely TIME. There is not enough of it. I wish I had more because there are just so many things I want to do. (NY Mag)

Outside of bringing fans closer into his personal interests, Cole recently discussed his delayed Born Sinner sophomore album release.

“They were cool with it, like ‘Whatever you wanna do’,” Cole said of the label reaction at Roc Nation and Columbia when he initially announced that he was going to drop his album at the top of 2013. Since then, the rapper admits that his original release date didn’t give him time to do it right. “Really that was a bad move. We decided that we got everybody playing on the same team and the same frequency. This is the sophomore album let’s not f— around,” the Fayetteville, North Carolina, MC told MTV News during a sit-down on February 16 in Houston. “Let’s really roll this out right, get the proper single, get the proper videos, proper brands. There are certain things that you can line up to make an album feel bigger.” (MTV)

Last month, the North Carolina-bred emcee said his long-awaited project needed more time to perfect.

J. Cole fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on his sophomorealbum Born Sinner. The Roc Nation rapper has delayed the project. While hosting a New Year’s Eve gig at TAO Las Vegas, Cole revealed that the follow-up to his 2011 debut Cole World: The Sideline Story won’t arrive on his 28th birthday, as previously announced. “It’s not gonna make January 28. It’s gonna be a little later than that. I needed more time,” he told PopStop TV. The first single, “Miss America,” was released in November. (Rap-Up)
