After completing yesterday's annual ING New York City Marathon, Duck Down Records' President Dru Ha has given SOHH his post-26 mile run reaction and thoughts.

Not holding back on his experience, Dru detailed how challenging the run was for him.

“Congrats to anyone and everyone who completed the Marathon yesterday,” Dru told SOHH via statement. “For me it was physically and mentally the most challenging day of my life. 26.2 miles is a grueling distance that will test the most conditioned runners so for someone like me who didn’t have much running history, it was an accomplishment I’m proud of. I ended up with an official time of 4:51 but more importantly we were able to raise nearly 15K for Alzheimer’s research. Truly will be a Run to Remember. (SOHH)

Dru made headlines over the past few weeks for getting involved with the run.

“I’m running it for the Alzheimer’s Disease Foundation, a team called Run to Remember, based out of New York City. My father this past January passed away from Alzheimer’s and I just felt like I needed to do something really challenging that’s personal to me and that would pay tribute to the man that he was,” Dru Ha says. Last month, Duck Down artists showed their support for the music executive’s run by putting together a new song.

Buckshot, Smif-N-Wessun, Promise & Double-O (of Kidz In The Hall) created an original song, “Run To Remember,” in recognition of Dru Ha running the NYC Marathon. Double-O produced the track, while the rapper’s recorded their verses at Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn, NY. The track dropped on iTunes on Thursday (October 20), and is selling for just $0.99. However, if you purchase the track, it’s going to a good cause. Proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Research foundation. (Baller Status)

Not the only celebrity in the marathon, R&B singer Mya also ran for a cause.

Howard Stern‘s wife Beth Ostrosky Stern may be sitting this year’s NYC Marathon out, but her favorite charity the North Shore Animal League will still have some star power leading their team of runners. Pop singer and former Dancing with the Stars finalist Mya will be leading Team Animal League at Sunday’s marathon. (Examiner)
