Gotti skipped out on breaking the news through a press release and announced his label’s rebirth via Instagram.

“Wanna share with y’all what I have been plotting on!! For years I have been wanting to start an ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY called VISIONARY. and yesterday was one of the 1st steps with bringing Maddi Jane. 14 year old superstar from Chicago to my Family at Atlantic Records. Julie Greenwald. Mtg and energy was fantastic. So I wake up today very excited. VISIONARY will also be doing TV shows. Me and Rule are working with Cris Abrego of 51 Minds and Rule will probably have his own Reality Show very soon. Which will also be a part VISIONARY thing. Also working on a few movie ideas that will also be VISIONARY. So with the signing of Maddi Jane and me waking up feeling great. I said let me share this with my people.” (Irv Gotti’s Instagram)

He also explained how Murder Inc. would not cater to every entertainer, especially R&B acts.

“VISIONARY will also manage artist as well. But I will only manage artist I feel are VISIONARY type artist. Not trying to just manage any and everyone. And that will be music and actors and athletes. MURDER INC will be a label under VISIONARY. And things I will do with Ja will always be MURDER INC AND MPIRE. and if I find another rapper that inspires me to work with them. It will be MURDER INC. but an artist like Maddi Jane will be under VISIONARY. I will let you guys in on more things I’m doing when the time is right.”” (Irv Gotti’s Instagram)

Music bloggers have already taken notice of ex-Murder Inc. star Ja Rule pumping the Internet with new tunes.

And it looks like he wasn’t kidding at all. Ja has released his twin singles ‘Everything’ and ‘Fresh Out Da Pen’ on iTunes and the label space along with artwork clearly mentions Murder Inc/Maven/Visionary. It’s interesting that Irv has brought the controversial label back which was once accused of funding itself with money from drug kingpin Kenneth ‘Supreme” McGriff and other crimes. (HHNM)

Last week, Irv said he had started to use Instagram to connect with people.

“We’re gonna rule the world again,” Gotti promised in an interview. “You know why I say that? [It’s] because I’m relentless. So even if it isn’t right now or whatever, until the goal is met, I’m coming. Put a bullet in my head, that’s when I’ll stop. … I really want the people to ride with us. I say that from the bottom of my heart because for no other fact than we can help them be better people too. When you go to my Instagram, IrvGotti187, when you go on my Instagram, it’s certain things I do. People will be like, ‘Yo, I needed that today.’ I give them something to ride that. … I miss messing with the people and Instagram has me going crazy. I’m messing with the people. Me and Rule are people persons.” (“The Angie Martinez Show”)
