Check out what Azealia said right here…

In Banks’ opinion, Iggy has copied her entire style after Young Money’s Nicki Minaj.

“Nicki Minaj over the past two, three, four years has done so much to create this social presence, like consciousness, and then here you go. She’s like Re-Up and Roman Reloaded, and here go f*ckin’ Iggy like Reclassified. It’s like a cultural smudging was what I see.” (Hot 97)

Azealia also talked about Iggy snagging some Grammy Awards nominations.

“When they give these Grammys out, all it says to white kids is, ‘You’re great. You’re amazing. You can do whatever you put your mind to.’ And it says to black kids, ‘You don’t have sh*t. You don’t own sh*t, not even the sh*t you created yourself.’ And it makes me upset. … Put [Iggy] in the pop category. Put her and Miley Cyrus in the same f*ckin’ box together. Don’t put her in hip-hop. Just because she’s singing, does not mean she’s rap music.” (Hot 97)

Over the summer, Iggy’s Hustle Gang boss T.I. explained why he went directly at Azealia’s head witha public diss.

“Nah, no war,” Tip said in an interview. “I think we spoke about this earlier in the month and I think I said the same thing to you. No disrespect from no one at no time. No exceptions. You can say what you want about me, but if you say something about my family, man, I’ma go at you and I’ma be relentless. I’ma be relentless. I’ll chew your throat off your neck if I need to. I have an oath to honor and respect and maintain the honor and respect and the integrity of my family. Anybody that violate that, I’m going. It’s just that.” (TMZ)

  1. say what you want about Iggy….shes gon respond everytime you come for her. and that makes folk more upset. for what? i still have no idea lol

    • correction: she’ll respond on twitter. Mention her on record and she’ll still just respond on twitter. You call yourself a rapper then be a fucking rapper. Somebody says your name on a track then your job as a rapper is to check them. Not tweet about them

      • not that i pay either of their music close attention. havent really heard anyone come at her on record. plus in this age of social media a response there is just the same as on record and she said her name in her response doesnt get anymore direct than that!!!

  2. Why make it about race all the time. Iggy worked hard, and deserves everything she is getting right now. Azealia on the other hand is just a bitter ol girl…always complaining and putting blames on other people for her failure. It ain’t all about race. And I don’t think Iggy is copying Nicki in any way, shape or form. Iggy ain’t trying to be the greatest female rap lyricist, she is just trying to do what she loves to do (rap) and make good music.

      • So is banks, the thing is banks does dance music for gays, transvestites and a white fan base and she’s crying about hiphop. How about she does hip hop then maybe I’d give a fuck till then she should stick to twitter

  3. Shields stay supporting their “runaway slave master” typical buck dancing negras, at least they make good shields lol yell

  4. Gotta say this girl carries herself with dignity all the time. I’m with team iggy azalea on this one ALL THE WAY!!!

  5. Fuck this bitch, she gonna be gone within a year or two and fuck the niggas that are cosigninf this type of bullshit.

  6. Its called the “music business” for a reason, like it or not, iggy has a market to cater to, that will spend $…..is her music the greatest, nah…but is she marketable, hell the fuq yeah…relax people

  7. Ms Banks must dont notice that she has no popping anything going on. Her label aint see nothing in her and didnt even wanna put her out either

  8. Im not an iggy fan but i think she handled Banks correctly so shout out to her for that

but with that being said i still cant respect her as a rapper. in the words of 50 cent (lol) Hip Hop is a competitive sport. In hip hop if someone says your name on a record your job is to check that person and let them know what it is. Unless you have reached a certain level where you dont have to respond to every rapper. For example if some up and coming rapper were to diss Nas. Theres no need for Nas to respond to that guy because hes already proven himself as an excellent lyricist with classics to his name. Iggy doesnt fall into that category. Em mentioned her on record, even if it was satirical, she felt some type of way and felt the need to tweet about it. Thats not what a real rapper/MC does. When a real rapper/MC hears someone mention them and not like what they hear then they respond on record. Not tweet about it. So until she can actually respond on more than just twitter i cant respect her as a rapper.
