Terror Squad leader Fat Joe continues to tell his story of shedding nearly 100 pounds earlier this year and what initially made him pack on the weight in a new CNN interview.

According to Joey Crack, his first taste of success and wealth put him on an eating roller coaster ride.

“I was talking to my trainer yesterday and he asked me, ‘When was the last time you were slim?’ I swear to God I think when I was a month or two months old. That was it, I was Fat Joe ever since. — [I thought] ‘I’m rich now. I can go to Mr. Chow’s and eat all the steak and lobster I want.’ … I think I weighed about 450, 460 at my heaviest. I always took pride in being fat. That’s why my name is Fat Joe. And I always represented for the big people. But I realized at a certain point all my big people were dying — my best, best, best, best friends don’t even know this but I was diabetic for 16 years — since I was 14. And being that I lost weight [I have] no more diabetes.” (CNN)

This month, Paul Wall, who lost massive amounts of weight last year, gave SOHH his thoughts on Joe’s health move.

“It’s real encouraging and motivating to see Fat Joe and everybody that’s getting into health. I think [First Lady] Michelle Obama‘s “Get Fit” campaign, all of that stuff is just real encouraging all around where people are really recognizing being fat isn’t cool. You have to make a whole lifestyle change. You have to really want it. Some people want it but they want the food more. Food is an addiction. A lot of people don’t realize it. Food is an actual addiction. The hormones you get makes you hungry and it’s also about how it makes you feel. When you’re full, you feel good. A lot of people can’t go to sleep unless they eat. They always eat before they go to sleep and they can’t go to sleep unless they have a full stomach. Food is a drug and it’s addictive. It’s a whole life style change.” (SOHH Guest Star)

A few weeks ago, the Terror Squad leader also said his eating habits were addict-like.

“I don’t find it hard [to diet]. I’m addicted to food and I love to eat but I don’t find it hard at all,” Joey Crack said in an interview. “It’s like a crackhead; a crackhead just hits rock bottom and they realize they don’t wanna smoke crack no more — you know what I’m saying? So I just said to myself, ‘I don’t wanna be overweight no more, I don’t wanna be outta shape, I don’t wanna be at risk of passing away and stuff like that so I gotta do the right thing.” (WENN)

In August, Fat Joe said losing 88 pounds even caught the attention of CNN (Cable News Network).

“I’m not trying to impress nobody or nothing like that,” Joe told MTV News. “I’m just trying to get healthy so I can be here for my family and take care of my kids and live the life that was intended for me to live, so it was crazy when I started getting all this attention. Two weeks from now, CNN is coming to my house, Sanjay Gupta, a big special, and all this attention is crazy.” (MTV)
