Model Kate Upton has dished on her obsession with Young Money's Nicki Minaj and addressd past romance gossip connecting her to Grammy-winning rap star Kanye West.
Upton also said she considered hitting up a Halloween party this week dressed as Nicki.
“I love Nicki Minaj and I’m just obsessed with her. Let me look in my iPod. I like New Boyz “You Look Better With The Lights Off,” I don’t know what’s the obsession with that one. I just really love anything that’s on Top 40…I might end up going to a Halloween party, but all these Halloween parties are themed. Now I think I’m going to have to go as Nicki Minaj, now that you brought that up! [How did I deal with the Kanye dating rumors?] I know Kanye and we’re friends. So I think that was a fine situation because I could laugh it off. But it doesn’t really affect me. I just try to ignore it and then it’s over.” (Global Grind)
Leading up to Halloween, Nicki Minaj became Google’s top searched costume.
The “Super Bass” rapper, who is known for her colorful wigs and wacky over-the-top outfits, is near the top of the list of most-searched Halloween costumes on Google. Only “Playboy Bunny”, “Black Swan”, and “Angry Birds” were searched more than the in-your-face rapper. There aren’t many actual Nicki Minaj costumes – but plenty of websites and online video tutorials on how to be the rapper have been popping up. Minaj, who hails from Queens’ Jamaica section and graduated from prestigious LaGuardia High School, beat out popular costume ideas like “Charlie Sheen,” “Pan Am” and “Captain America” in Web searches. In May, Upton denied rumors claiming she was the mystery woman locking lips with Yeezy on a hotel balcony in France.
“Such a great week in LA now back to new York… No Cannes for me,” she tweeted Monday (May 16).

Kanye West has been linked to underwear model Kate Upton after it was revealed that it was she he was spotted kissing in Cannes, France this weekend. Paparazzi pictures showed the ‘Runaway’ rapper passionately kissing an unknown blonde girl. She has since been identified as 18 year old Kate Upton. Upton, who is fifteen years younger than Kanye (33), is a swimsuit and underwear model and was named Sports Illustrated’s Rookie Of The Year for 2010. (Pop Dash)
