After some recent buzz linking President Bill Clinton and Drake to an upcoming event, the Thank Me Later platinum seller has confirmed the reports.

Hitting up his Twitter page, Drizzy confirmed his attendance with the former United States President at an event this coming up week.

“I got a party with bill clinton on thursday.,” Drake tweeted Saturday (March 12) night. (Drake’s Twitter)

The event is set to take place in Hollywood, California.

In a rare combination, former President Bill Clinton will join hip-hop artist Drake for a Hollywood affair. The Millennium Network in support of the Clinton Foundation are hosting an event March 17, on 6523 Sunset Boulevard from 7-10 p.m. General admission starts at $150, tax deductible, and includes an open bar. In addition to Drake, special guests include actor/singer Jamie Foxx and NBA star Blake Griffin.

President Bill Clinton and Drake will team up for a fundraising event next week for Millennium Network, in support of the former President’s nonprofit organization, The Clinton Foundation. The fundraiser, which is open to the public, will take place at Hollywood’s Boulevard3 on Mar. 17. President Clinton will kick off the event with opening remarks, while Drake will close the ceremony with a special performance. Jamie Foxx, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, actress Kristen Bell and Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin will all be attendance. (Billboard)

Clinton’s high-profile event will help generate awareness to students and activists about global issues.

The foundation focuses on everything from rallying cities to fight climate control change, to education and caring for more than 2 million living with HIV/AIDS. Five meetings of the Clinton Global Initiative and thee sessions of the Clinton Global Initiative University have generated more than $57 billion in funding commitments, per organizers at www.clintonfoundation.org/mn (Deadline)
