Brooklyn rapper Lil Kim recently discussed her publicized "bad girl" image amongst the media and why people do not realize how caring she actually is at the end of the day.

In Kim’s perspective, she can only move forward and not worry about what others presume.

“I can’t help people thinking I’m a bada**. My lawyer told someone, ‘Kim’s really a superduper megastar.’ And they said, ‘But she’s difficult.’ He said, ‘Not difficult. She just deals from a place of respect. She gets crazy over bullying and people blabbering nasty things about her.’ I was so young when, with names there like Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey, I won awards, and Michael Jackson‘s mother came to my trailer. She wanted to meet me. She kissed me. I’m one of those who was with Katherine at Michael’s funeral. Look, a girlfriend of mine got pregnant. Her husband’s abusive. So she’s staying with me. I know about respect. I listen to whoever needs. I take care of all my friends to the fullest. It’s a blessing — and a curse.” (New York Post)

In March, the “Queen Bee” became victim to negative criticism following a New York City fashion show appearance.

“Lil Kim looks like a big mess. Her face and body appear to have transformed into a different person entirely,” Youn, who has not treated the star, told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. “I suspect that she’s had a lot of plastic surgery, including a nose job (or more than one) that’s thinned her nose to the proportions of a popsicle stick. … Her face appears contoured and has a waxy sheen. It appears that she’s undergone injection of fillers as well. … Her body is much more curvy, and could have undergone enhancement with solid silicone buttock implants. Her overall appearance makes me concerned that she has a serious body image problem.” (Radar Online)

While disliked by some, reality star Natalie Nunn previously gushed over her love for Kim.

“I enjoyed every minute of hanging out with Lil’ Kim and that kiss was the most amazing day of my life,” Nunn said. “She was my generation of bad girls when I was young. That’s what I listened to. Her inviting me to hang out with her in Miami was more than a dream come true I don’t care how lame that sounds. She’s a legend in the game for over a decade.” (The Urban Daily)

This week, she opened up on nearly inking a deal with Cash Money Records.

According to the Queen Bee, she was on pace to sign with Cash Money, the same label that made Nicki a star. “Me and Slim were friends for four years, and we decided that we were going to go into business together,” Kim said of her plans with CM co-CEO Ronald “Slim” Williams. “I was over there with Cash Money — I was getting ready to be partners with them.” The deal didn’t go through, but Kim did record “Grinding Makin’ Money,” a track that included both Birdman and Minaj. The Notorious K.I.M. claims that the track was slated for Birdman’s 2009 album Priceless but didn’t make the final cut. “They put the record out. I guess they didn’t like the response — they saw the response and they pulled the record off, pulled it back, never put it on his album, nothing,” Kim said. (MTV)
