Hollywood stars Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow recently showed off their hip-hop skills with a playful freestyle targeted at late night talk show host Chelsea Handler.
In their freestyle, the blockbuster actresses also took a jab at Handler’s past fling with G-Unit’s 50 Cent.
And it looks as though it’s paying off as she’s learned how to spit a few bars. This week, in celebration of Chelsea Handler’s move to a new studio, Gwyneth and her bestie Cameron Diaz sent in a funny video where they beat boxed while rapping about Chelsea’s personal life. After being introduced as MC Gwyneth Paltrow and DJ Jazzy Cameron Diaz, the girls rapped lines like: “Yo Chelsea We heard that you got a brand new studio, but we know you got on TV by being a ho/You like black guys, white guys, whomevers around, your bedroom looks like a lost and found/We kinda like you ’cause you’re blonde like us, but we can’t hang with you in public ’cause you drink too much./We hope this rap is enough, and by the way, 50 Cent says you like it rough” (Necole Bitchie)
Last year, Paltrow also showed off her rhyming skills by rapping an N.W.A. verse.
“[Straight Outta Compton?] It’s a classic N.W.A. album,” Paltrow told BBC host Graham Norton before being asked to rap. “You want me to [rap?] There’s one word I can’t say. OK — ‘Yo, here’s a little something about a ‘uh’ like me, never should have been let out the penitentiary/Ice Cube, I like to say that I’m a crazy motherf*cker from around the way/Since I was a youth, I smoked weed out/Now I’m the motherf*cker that you read about.’ [laughs]” (“The Graham Norton Show”)
In summer 2011, Handler came clean on her short-lived romance with 50.
“We were friends. We’re not friends really anymore. I haven’t spoken to him in a while… We had sex,” Handler revealed. “It was fun. I’ve told other people. Don’t feel special. [You feel special?] Well, I’m not gonna lie…I’m not interested in motherhood at all.” (Esquire)
In May, Chelsea explained why things ultimately did not work out for them.
“We dated, very casually,” Chelsea told television host Piers Morgan. “He was, nothing happened, you know, he’s a very sweet, nice guy, but obviously, I was just sampling, kind of, the atmosphere and seeing what was out there. And I’m satiated. He’s fun. He’s a great guy. [He’s not what I expected], not at all. He’s the complete antithesis of what you would imagine. He’s a sweetheart, he’s sweet, funny, he’s got a great sense of humor. I don’t really like gifts from rappers in general since I’m not a hooker. I don’t like when men buy me ridiculous gifts especially when I don’t know them well. I can buy my own gifts.” (“Piers Morgan”)
