Reality series actress Heidi Montag has revealed her new association with rapper Waka Flocka Flame's mother, Debra Antney, and said she is fully confident in her management skills.
According to the “The Hills” star, she wants Antney to upstart her music career.
“Spencer [Pratt, fellow “Hills” star and Montag’s husband] is going into the studio with Wooh Da Kid and Waka Flocka Flame, and I requested that his mother Deb Antney meet with me and manage me, because she is just fabulous,” Montag explained in an interview. “I spent $2 million on my music career, and it didn’t happen for me, and now I have this opportunity. I need her to guide me in the right direction and I know amazing things will happen because she really knows what she is doing. I’ve never been able to be the true Heidi, and now that I am not working on The Hills, I can really focus on this.” (Radar Online)
Montag’s husband Spencer Pratt is also jumping into the rap game with Waka Flocka Flame’s assistance.
RumorFix has learned exclusively that reality star Spencer Pratt and rappers Waka Flocka Flame and Wooh Da Kid are heading into the studio to record music together. “I feel this collaboration with two of hip hops most entertaining superstars will make for some great entertainment for the world,” Spencer tells RumorFix exclusively. In November, rapper French Montana inked a management deal with Antney.
“As far as management, she got it down pat,” French told XXLMag.com. “She got everything that I need, and I got everything that she need–as far as the East Coast market, the Tri-State. Deb’s never had nobody from the East Coast, besides Nicki [Minaj].” The Bronx-bred spitter, who appeared as a featured guest on Waka Flocka’s album, said he first met Antney, who is Flockaveli’s mom, at a nightclub in New York a few months back. He had high praises for her work. “That woman is like a label by herself,” he said. “She just work. Being the person that I am, that I work just as hard as her, it’ll make it a whole lot easier.” (XXL Mag)
A week prior, Gucci Mane re-hired Antney to be his manager after firing her in May.
2010 has been a tumultuous year for Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane. On May 4, while in prison for violating his probation, Gucci fired his manager, Debra Antney, amidst rumors that she and his booking agent, who he also fired, were taking advance deposits for headlining shows that they knew he would be unable to attend. Gucci is now back in the news for rehiring Debra Antney. (The Boom Box)
