While his G.O.O.D. Music contributions continue to light up the charts, producer Hit-Boy recently dished out his admiration and overall respect for troubled hitmaker Scott Stroch.

Despite Storch’s recent woes, Hit-Boy said he is one artist which has motivated him due to his versatility in beat-making.

“One producer I’ve looked up to is Scott Storch. At his peak, he was doing Beyoncé’s incredible ballad, “Me, Myself and I,” and then he went to Fat Joe‘s “Lean Back,” one of the biggest club songs ever,” Hit said in an interview. “Nobody could identify his sound, and that’s what I want. I can go from Kelly’s “Lay It on Me” to Pusha T‘s “My God” and then do a “Paris.” People might still try to put me in a box, thinking I’m only a track producer, but not knowing I can make an R&B ballad right now and play the keys myself.” (Billboard)

Recently, Storch was sued by an up-and-coming singer who claimed she paid big bucks for services and received problems in return.

Legendary hip hop producer Scott Storch is being sued by an aspiring singer … who claims she paid Storch a ton of money to produce her album … but he was too drugged out to get the job done. The woman on the attack is Treena Ruberg … who claims Storch — who’s worked with superstars like Dr. Dre, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and more — agreed to produce 6 songs for Treena in exchange for $45,000 back in October 2011 … $30k of which she paid up front. According to Treena’s lawsuit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Storch acknowledged he had a previous drug problem … but insisted he was now “cured of his past problem” and would be able to deliver the tracks by the end of November. (TMZ)

Despite his promise of a drug problem being a thing of the past, Ruberg claims Storch still struggled to live up to their deal.

But Treena says Storch straight up lied … claiming he “continued to have a drug addiction and other personal problems which rendered him incapable of producing any recordings.” Now, Treena says she wants her $30k back … plus an additional $70k for all of the out-of-pocket expenses she incurred during the process … including plane flights, studio time and having to hire another producer. Last year, Hit-Boy officially joined forces with Kanye West‘s G.O.O.D. Music team.

“Yeah, man it’s definitely official,” Hit said when asked about the new association. “We’ve got a lot of things going with Kanye West right now. Just be on the lookout. I’m a part of the production team, so I’ll be working on various projects over there, pretty much everybody from [Kid] Cudi to ‘Ye to Big Sean–everybody…It’s been in the works for three months, since ‘Christmas in Harlem.’ We just had to get the business right and it finally came together. I signed a couple of weeks ago.” (VIBE)
