[Each week, SOHH asks two entertainment personalities to name their Top 5 rappers of all-time. To make things tricky, we've created a "Hall of Fame" of emcees (see right) who are universally respected and therefore may not be mentioned. After Carmine rolled out his top picks, Chinga Chang Records' Drock unloads his fave five.]
Lil Wayne. He’s been one of my favorite artists since I was a kid. Ever since he was with Cash Money, I’ve always followed him. I’ve always f*cked with him.
Kanye West. Kanye, to me, is a f*cking genius. He’s a genius. Most of the things he does are unexplainable. I like his attitude.
50 Cent. I most like 50 because he can rap but he’s still a businessman at the end of the day. He’s focused on his money and that’s very important.
Kendrick Lamar. I got Kendrick on there because he’s a true lyricist and he came into the game with a whole different vibe. He doesn’t sound like no one else I’ve heard of. He’s a lyricist.
Big Sean & Drake. I got Big Sean on there because I like his flow. I gotta put Big Sean and Drake right there. They’re on the same level. I like them, they’re new, and I can see myself working with them in the future.
