N.O.R.E. compared his chemistry alongside Pharrell to music duos like Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.

“It’s always wonderful [to link up with Pharrell] — it’s just like when Snoop gets with Dre,” N.O.R.E. explained in an interview. “There’s just certain things you want to hear, and it’s been long overdue. He actually called me for [‘Finito’]. He was like, ‘I’ve got the one,’ and when I heard the intro, you ain’t heard Pharrell pop sh*t on an intro — he was really popping sh*t, and he don’t pop sh*t, he’s a humble dude. I don’t even know what the f*ck he said, that he’s got plutonium in his special order [Louis Vuitton] bookbag. For a person that’s humble to say that, he didn’t pop sh*t like that since ‘Super Thug’ when he said ‘I’ve got a mansion in the Philippines.'” (This Is 50)

Last weekend, the Queens rapper talked about how much of an emotional impact Pharrell has had on him.

“Pharrel called me and made me cry he’s one real mother f*cking person I will go to war for him!!!,” N.O.R.E. tweeted July 24th.

“I owe pharrel and Lil tunchi and Mack Maine big time and Mick the nerd army leader #Finito” (N.O.R.E.’s Twitter)

N.O.R.E. and Pharrell have also worked on another track called “I Like The Way.”

In early July, Noreaga talked about the radio hit’s popularity.

“‘Finito’ is out there doing very, very good. I’m overwhelmed with the love, so instead of me sitting around and celebrating, I’m just staying in the studio because ‘Finito’ wasn’t ready. When you heard that version of ‘Finito,’ it was rough, it wasn’t ready. It was leaked. Hacker motherf*ckers.” (Hip Hop DX)
