To make things tricky, we've created a "Hall of Fame" of emcees (see right) who are universally respected and therefore may not be mentioned. This week, we head to Queensbridge, New York to let Mobb Deep's Havoc spit the "Dunn language" on his most respected lyricists.

Slick Rick is there for just the obvious reasons. He’s the best storyteller of all-time. To this day, nobody could come up with a better storytelling style than his. If you could find one, I’ll pay somebody a million dollars. Word.

I’m going to put LL Cool J in there. He embodies and represents longevity. And he’s from Queens, New York. LL is the man. It doesn’t get any better than that.

A Tribe Called Quest is on my list. I picked A Tribe Called Quest because of their versatility. They used to really be coming with that popping sound and all of the different subject matters that they [rhymed about] was dope. It wasn’t all about killing and guns. Overall, they still were a force to be reckoned with in hip-hop

They [Run DMC] are like one of the few groups that made me love hip-hop. That’s what they did to me from day one. That’s the bottom line.
Prodigy is on my list. He never ceases to amaze me. He’s insane with his lyrical content and he goes hard. He takes it serious and he’s got some of the best lines of rap history. So that’s why I gotta give him that one.
