Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane, who is already reportedly behind bars serving time, is making weekend headlines for being required to fork over his lethal weapons.
While details are scarce, Gucci is reportedly expected to turn in at least two guns and ammunition to the government.
Gucci Mane’s got a problem with the United States government that goes beyond taxes — it’s like a bullet to the heart … because Uncle Sam wants to take his Glock. According to a federal indictment, the government wants Mane to surrender his 2 guns — a 40 caliber Glock and a 45 caliber Taurus. They also want the ammo that goes with it. As for why the government has a hard-on for Mane … the rapper has 2 priors — aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of more than 20 grams of pot. The priors trigger a forfeiture. This comes after his ex-manager Debra Antney accused him of being heavily influenced by drugs and not thinking straight.
Waka Flocka Flame and his mom are being accused of stealing money from rapper Gucci Mane, but in an exclusive interview with Debra Antney she tells RumorFix, “I’m gonna laugh.” The lawsuit alleges that Debra, who was Gucci’s manager in 2006 and CFO, and Waka collected royalties without permission and as a result the troubled rapper has money problems and tax issues. Debra tells us, “I’m so speechless. It’s so crazy. Waka wasn’t even rapping in 2006. ” She adds, “Drugs, greed and women ruined him — that’s it. Don’t blame that sh*t on me!” The Atlanta-based manager says, “Bless his heart — somebody call Dr. Phil for him!” (RumorFix)
According to reports, Gucci recently filed a lawsuit against Waka Flocka Flame and others over various allegations including fraud.
The popular rhyme-sayer whose government name is Radric Davis and Michael Armour named Juaquin “Waka” Malphurs, Malphurs’ mother Debra Antney, producer and DJ Xavier “Zaytoven” Dotson, and rappers Khia Stone and Otis “OJ da Juiceman” Jones, Jr., in a federal lawsuit accusing them of fraud, racketeering, theft and breach of contract as it pertains to Davis’ company, 1017 Records, LLC, the complaint claims. Neither Antney nor Malphurs were able to be reached by phone at Mizay Entertainment, the company Antney runs. At least some of the accusations refer to events that happened during Davis’ 2009 stint in the Fulton County Jail. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
Gucci took personal aim at Debra and accused her of stealing his money.
The complaint says Antney, who manages her son’s career and has her hands in the rise of several area hip hop artists, was hired to manage Davis in 2006 and was released from her duties in 2009. The lawsuit claims that Antney took control of the company and along with Malphurs and Stone spawned at least three separate companies without Davis’ consent and, for Malphurs, in direct violation of his artist’s contract. The complaint claims that Antney stole a ring and necklace from Davis, failed to report tax information on her income, and seized control of his money and assets and used them for herself. The lawsuit also accuses her of fraudulently inflating the costs of certain record label expenses and using the excess for personal gain. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
Over the past few months, Waka Flocka has suggested Mane is mentally unstable.
The feud between the rappers has been going on for some time. On Sept. 16, Waka completely dissed him on Power 105, saying “Gucci lost his noodles, man. People think he’s gangsta and hard, he really needs medical attention, man.” He also brought up the Twitter war where Gucci said they both had slept with rapper, Nicki Minaj. “Nah man, the world would’ve known, man, she’s too poppin’,” he said about Nicki. “No disrespect to her, she’s like a sister to me, but it’s too poppin’. I would’ve been tried to grab those cool points.” (Hollywood Life)
