Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane is ready to start talking. The hip-hop veteran is gearing up to release an autobiography.
According to reports, Mane has teamed with a notable publisher to get his tell-all story out to the masses.
“Simon & Schuster is thrilled to publish Gucci’s story in his own words,” the spokesperson for Simon & Schuster said. “Gucci Mane is one of the most influential and revered hip hop artists in the world. His impact on American music is profound. This will be a major memoir revealing the life and times of the artist and man, chronicling his youth, ascent to the top of the Atlanta trap scene, incarceration, struggles with addiction and personal rebirth.” (The FADER)
Recently, Guwop hinted at autobiography plans and discussed his publicized multi-year stint in jail.
“I just did a book deal with Simon & Schuster. That’ll be coming out at the top of next year. I did a whole autobiography. I wrote it while I was locked up,” Gucci said in an interview. “I learned that I don’t have the privilege to make another mistake or to blame an excuse. I can’t say it was drugs. I know my vices now. I know if I do this, where it’s gonna end up. There’s no excuse. There’s no plan. It’s just black and white with me. If I do the right things, I have no ceiling – I’ve got so much clarity on what I’ve got to do and what I can’t do.” (Hot 97)
Earlier this month, Gucci announced big features he had coming up with artists like Lil Wayne and E-40.
A few days prior, Gucci announced plans to put out a new album called Woptober.
